Family Emergencies

Hello bloggy friends:

If you’re a regular reader to this blog, you know that my aunt passed away earlier this month. My mom, sister and uncle are going to the UK this week to attend the funeral services.

Yesterday, Julie received a very sad call about her mom – also known as Maya’s Granny. Julie’s mom is currently suffering the effects of congestive heart failure and, after a series of events, had to be flown from Juneau to Anchorage, Alaska for tests and treatment. Julie hopped on a plane this morning to Anchorage so she can help out (her brother flew with Julie’s mom in an Air Ambulance last night after they were able to stabilize her heart rate and breathing).

The only word we have is that her mom is in stable condition and the doctors are going to run some tests to determine the best course of treatment. Unfortunately, Julie has a very long layover in Seattle and won’t arrive in Anchorage until 8:30pm (She left Oakland at 10:30am). Needless to say, Julie is very upset, but I think being with her mom and brother during this crisis is better than being so far away and anxiously awaiting any kind of news.

Because of all this, I’ll be taking some time away from this bloggy thing and the Popdose bloggy thing as well…

  1. Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear about Julie’s mom. You’re right, it is good that she get to spend time with them right now. I hope for the very best outcome. If you get a chance, please pop in and give us an update.

  2. I am so so sorry to hear this! I am keeping everyone in my thougts and sending my very best, most powerful “Good Vibes” up North! Stay strong, all of you!

  3. I’m very sorry to hear about Julie’s Mom!! My highest hopes for a complete and speedy recovery.

  4. Hang in their PY. I’m thinking of you all. xoxo

  5. 🙁
Py, please let us know if there is anything that we can do. I haven’t been keeping up on the bloggy world so I didn’t realize anything was up (just figured she had yesterday off).

If we can help out with Maya or anything. You let us know!

  6. Py,

I’m so sorry to hear this. I ready J’s blog earlier today. Please keep us posted. My prayers are with Maya’s Granny.

    Thanks,
    Starshine

  7. Sincere Well wishes to Maya’s Granny…

Ok, sorry this comment is for the mix three, previous Blog. I clicked on the comment icon and it said it was closed for comments. What the heck. So I just wanted to say the Grateful dead album cover was cool but all their songs sound a like to me. My favorite song was the Moody Blues one. That Justin Hayward has a voice that would melt anyone heart, I listened to it twice. I like the Spoon’s song Not bad.
