Life in general

Oy! Maya Sings

My daughter is generally a pretty shy kid, but it seems that shyness evaporates when we started playing with the crappy video feature on our digital camera. Sorry about the bad quality, but this is good for a laugh. We’re not Jewish, nor are we Christians, but we celebrate both holidays because, well, it’s fun!
Shalom, Merry Christmas, and Happy Chanukah! (Just double click the image below to play)

  1. Love it! Thanks for the early morning entertainment from a total sweetheart! πŸ™‚

  2. Call me crazy, but I think I like her version better than BNL’s…

  3. I can’t call you crazy because I agree! πŸ™‚ It was so funny to see her suddenly come to life and be so animated in front of the camera because if she had to do that in front of a group of people, she’d probably throw up.

And Ml…You’re welcome! We’re almost to the weekend so hang in there.

  4. I so wish that I had sound on my computer up here…too lazy to go downstairs and watch there. πŸ™‚ But I LOVE this.

  5. […] A few years ago, we decided, for fun, to start celebrating Hanukkah. Neither Ted nor I know of any Jewish folks on either side of our families, so this is a pretty secular celebration of a religious holiday, but we kind of felt like since we’re not Christian, and we celebrate Christmas, it would be nice to expose Maya to some of the other traditions of the season, and heck, what’s not to like about latkes and candles and fun? (Click to see a video of Maya singing “Oh Hanukkah”) […]

  6. Where did the shy Maya go?

    That was awesome!

  7. Too cute!

I especially liked the jump at the end!

  8. The jump is the big finish!

  9. That was absolutely adorable!

  10. hi fellow korrys!!
