Teaching

LPCWell kids, guess what?  I got a p/t teaching gig for the spring.  Which means I now have to get organized and start prepping for the class. It’s an American politics class, and I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to approach it.  I have some ideas, but right now it’s all in the very early planning stage.  Anyway, what all this means is that my blog is going to change.  I won’t blame you if you decide to bail on me, but just know that this will start to be a place where I do more academic stuff (I know, bor-ing!).  But I’ve reached a point where I’m making some changes, and it just seems that what I have planned is a natural progression reflecting those changes.

So, stay tuned (or thanks for reading). 😀

  1. YAY!
I’m so glad to hear it’s a spring gig! Oh and what a great time to be teaching on politics. Or maybe… it depends on November I guess. Either way, YAY!

Um… I understand the change in direction, but does this mean no mix six?

  2. Well, ye olde Mix Six moved over to Popdose in January, so that will continue over there. But I’m going to give this place a little makeover soon.

  3. Hey bud so you hit the jackpot .Next spring eh well Isay good for you.go kick butts, show them what you are made of

  4. I’ll miss the more personal side of the blog…but I think you’re doing the right thing. You need to focus on academia right now, and this is a good way to do so. 🙂 Yay, you!

  5. Congrats Dr. Ted. I hope this works into a full time position. I know you have to put your time in, but it is a good move. Teaching is a lot more fun than the rat race.

  6. I’m so happy for you, Ted!

I know that you will be fabulous, and as Cherry said, what a great time to be teaching that subject!

I wish you all the best…

    I’ll keep reading, of course!

  7. YAY!! So happy that you found something. Is it an online university? I can’t wait to see what you’re coming up with next. Good luck and congrats!!

I saw where you left the comment about “how people are starting to cancel cable TV” on J’s blog!

I didn’t cancel mine completely, but I cut it back to the bare minimum ( basic service ). It cut my cable bill from $103.82 to $53.68 and that will buy a good tank of gas!
Of course $46.95 of the bill is for my “Road Runner” service which I will not do without!

Glad to know I’m not the only one out there cutting back!
