Random Sample

Sorry that my bloggy activity is becoming more and more sporadic. My new hours, coupled with the fact that work has become much more busy, has left me less time to bloggy blog. But that doesn’t mean I can’t find the time to share some random samples from my music library with you!

“Love is a Battlefield” Pat Benatar w/Queen Latifah (Download) When this movie came out, I avoided it because it looked lame to me. But the soundtrack looked intriguing because they remixed all these classic rock tunes with some good and some not-so-good results. This tune, however, was remixed in a very tasteful way.

“Mike Post Theme” The Who (Download) Love The Who … Love Pete Townshend’s solo work … but it was tough to warm up to this album. It’s kind of hit and miss, but when they “hit” the old Who magic comes shining through — like it does with this song.

“Sweet Sunshine” David Mead (Download) Jefito was the one who introduced me to Mead’s music when he did a Mix Six for this blog. I can’t say that I’m a “fan” of Mead as of yet, but the first two songs off this album are pure pop goodness. Also, check out Jeff’s Guide to David Mead on Popdose — which you can read HERE.

  1. I like the random sample feature on your blog. ๐Ÿ™‚ Fun to hear songs that perhaps I wouldn’t have listened to otherwise, even though, gosh, we live together! ๐Ÿ™‚
