Newsweek on Obama

The September 6th edition of Newsweek has a number of articles on why Obama has been faltering in his public image. One thing he has ignored –that may be his downfall– is something Bill Clinton never forgot: “It’s the economy, stupid.”

In a couple of articles, he seem like a guy who is not actively engaged in this economic crisis, and that’s why his poll numbers are going south.

His latest effort to rebuild the infrastructure (i.e., Roads, bridges and rail) is coming too late (I fear) to take some of the wind out of the GOP’s sails. Time will tell, but that Cool Hand Luke demeanor he has down pat has to change back to the inspiring leader he was on the campaign trail if he’s going to energize the Democratic base for the November elections.
