Julie’s a Good Cooker

Back when Maya was young, she use to compliment Julie by saying “Mama’s a good cooker”–which of course we thought was incredibly cute. Well, flash forward to more than a decade and Maya’s phrase is right on the money. Julie IS a good cooker. Tonight we’re having a really tasty dish: chicken with grapes and olives with roasted carrots and potatoes. We’ve had this dish before and it’s always gotten an A++ rating from us.

Julie got the recipe from a cookbook she bought called “The Smitten Kitchen.” I’ve cooked a couple of dishes from that book and they are generally quite good.

How ’bout you? Any household faves you’re willing to share?

The dishes are pretty easy to make and having that book certainly takes the “what are we going to eat for dinner” burden off of one’s shoulders.

  1. Awe, you made me blush. I do like that dish, though, and look, there's plenty left if you want some for lunch!
