Do you ever get those weekends that is so full of activities and events that you wish you took Monday off from work? That was our weekend. Our good friends Cherry and Eric got married on Saturday and we had a rehearsal dinner at Fenton’s where I met many of C and E’s friends and family. The wedding was wonderful! The place where Cherry and Eric got married was very nice, and they had a wonderful reception where all the guests could eat, drink, and be merry at a large site in Briones Regional Park. In the rainy months, it looks like this:
However, it’s June in CA, and even though the hills are now brown, the site they chose was a really beautiful area that had ample tree coverage in case it was too hot (it wasn’t) and “staging” area complete with a green lawn where the actual ceremony took place. Cherry and Eric looked great and the ceremony was very sweet because as they were doing their vows they alternated between crying and laughing.  What can I say, it was wonderful day and THEY ARE FINALLY MARRIED!!!! 🙂
Sunday was a lot of fun, too!  J, Maya, Dot, and I  met up with Gina and HH in Berkeley for breakfast. It was really great to finally meet a bloggy friend I’ve never met in person. Gina’s hubby (whom she calls “Hubba Hubba”) and I talked and talked to the point where Gina was like “Hey, I haven’t even had a chance to chat with Ted!” We did get to  talk for a bit, but then our brief time in Berkeley ended as Gina and HH were getting ready to head over the ballpark to watch the Giants and the Yankees play, and we had to head home to prep the house for our weekly open house.
Yeah. I need a few days off.

What a packed weekend. That is so cool that you got a chance to hang out with Gina a hubba hubba! One day I might get to meet a few of my bloggy friends too…..soon I hope. 🙂

It was a busy, tiring weekend, but all of it was GREAT, and we had a lot of fun. I’m going to go ask my boss for a super long weekend next weekend, though, just because. 😉
