Both Steve and Julie’s mom are having surgery tomorrow. Steve is getting a temp pin put into his shoulder so his collar bone will fuse properly. Julie’s mom is getting a defibrillator like Dick Cheney has to treat tachycardia. Needless to say it’ll be another tense day in our household. No fun.
However, sometimes it’s the small things in life that can make you smile, right? Take for instance the recent performance by Iggy Pop at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Of all the artists out there to cover a Madonna tune, I don’t think I would have ever picked Iggy to cover “Ray of Light,” and do some spoken word poetry featuring “Like a Virgin,” but here ’tis:
