Blog Comment Day

John at SmuloSpace got me on board with Blog Comment Day.  The idea is simple:  visit 5 blogs, and leave comments on at least 2 blogs you have never visited before.  It’s good to get out of one’s comfort zone now and again, and I went over the Julie’s blogroll to look at some blogs she reads.  One was The Starshine Report (a bloggy friend of Julie and Cherry’s who has become friend), and she and her hubby have been taking swing dance lessons.  She posted a very fun video of them in their class, and if it doesn’t bring a smile to your face after watching it, then I worry about your soul.

The other blog I left a comment on was A Gentleman’s Domain — who had this great pic on his site:

If you can’t see the many levels of humor in this pic, then I’m doubly worried about your soul.

And finally … just when I thought I had reached critical mass on social networking sites (because really, how many can one truly manage), I got sucked into a new one:  It’s called )))Drum Channel(((.  Yeah, I know, pretty specialized, but it seems like a good place for “advanced beginners” like me to hang out and get some pointers from pros who have a thing or two say about hitting things with sticks.

By the way, I found out about the Drum Channel after reading a very good post by Neil Peart, the drummer for Rush.

  1. I found a few sites I might go back to — in addition to the ones I linked to. So, this little exercise in venturing outside one's bubble has been good!

  2. Your new Blog face is really nice. I will try and get out of my comfort zone and read some different blogs today, You little drummer boy.

  3. That is indeed a hilarious picture. I wonder what the heck they're doing, and why? I mean, do the people KNOW they're about to be drenched?
